Finance Analyst

We're looking for someone to come and support our Finance Manager, and the wider team, in the preparation of monthly management accounts.

We work 1-2 days in our office in Ladbroke Grove and the rest remotely, but you'll need to be flexible where you spend your time.

You'll be working with people around the business on:
  • Fixed asset register and depreciation calculations

  • Accrual and prepayment journals

  • Control account reconciliations

  • General journal posting

  • Checking ledger entries

  • Generating P&L and Balance Sheet reports

  • Daily & Weekly Sales Reporting

  • Monthly management board packs

You'll also be working with the Head of Finance and the Finance Manager on:
  • P&L budgeting and forecasting

  • Cashflow forecasting

  • Ad hoc commercial analysis

  • Being the ERP system super-user for the business

Essentials:
  • Part Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA etc)

  • Demonstrable experience preparing management accounts.

  • Good Excel skills - you should know your Pivot tables and VLookups!

  • Previous experience working in a medium sized growing business

  • Strong interpersonal skills with excellent communication and listening skills

  • Problem solving, a desire to seek continual improvements and the ability to communicate to non-finance staff throughout the business are all required.

  • The ability to work independently and show initiative

  • The ability to take responsibility and accountability

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Confidence and common sense

  • Excellent motivation and people management skills

  • Demonstrate commercial awareness and passion for the Loaf brand

  • A great team player with the ability to promote and help build a positive work environment

Desirable:
  • Experience in a retail setting advantageous

  • Use of ERP systems is highly desirable

  • Microsoft Dynamics NAV

  • Jet Reports or similar reporting package would be beneficial
